About

The Founder

From the harsh realities of a childhood spent on the streets of Johannesburg, Siphiwe Christopher Mathebula's story is one of remarkable transformation. A second chance encounter led him from the depths of adversity to the halls of education and, ultimately, to a life dedicated to service.

Following his graduation from Bible School, his journey led him to the Baptist Church, where he served diligently for 13 years. It was here, amidst unwavering devotion, that he received a divine vision: "Restore Hope to Our World." This calling ignited the birth of Hope Restoration Ministries (HRM) in 2001, a ministry he founded with his wife, Phindi.

As the Lead Pastor and Visionary of HRM, Rev. Mathebula oversees a vibrant, contemporary church spanning seven campuses across Gauteng, boasting a membership exceeding 25,000. His ministry transcends boundaries, uniting individuals across diverse backgrounds to unlock their potential and embrace a life ordained by God.

A sought-after speaker and preacher, Rev. Mathebula's voice resonates at conferences both locally and internationally. Beyond the pulpit, he is a Devoted Citizen, Author, Columnist, and Leadership Consultant, lending his expertise to organisations such as the Office of the Public Protector of South Africa and South African Airways.

His latest book, "Devoted Citizen," offers profound insights into civic engagement and personal responsibility. He also shares his message of hope through his TV program, "Hope Alive."

Beyond his many accomplishments, Rev. Mathebula finds solace in reading, the thrill of a soccer match, and the invigorating rhythm of running. He is a devoted husband to Phindi Mathebula, and together they are blessed with five children: two daughters and three sons.
